All of us at Accretive believe that philanthropy and helping others is an important element of our lives. The firm donates 10 percent of its profits each year to charity. The philanthropic interests of each principal are described in their bios.
In addition, we have a long tradition of being dedicated to our Accretive family, a tradition that began with and remains inspired by one of our senior partners, Sam Blyakher. Tragically, on October 9th, 2006, Sam and his wife Rebecca were killed in an auto accident. Their 10 month old daughter, Nava, was injured but is expected to have a full recovery. We are dedicated to watching over Nava (having established and provided funding for the Nava Rose Blyakher 2006 Trust) and we look forward to seeing her grow in the years to come.
